I transform data chaos into organizational clarity — building the governance structures, leadership capacity, and cultural mindset that turn data into a true strategic asset.
Data governance doesn't live in systems — it lives in conversations, agreements, and people's willingness to take collective responsibility for information. I build the cultural conditions for governance to take root and sustain itself beyond any single initiative.
In complex, multi-stakeholder environments, the most valuable thing a leader can provide is clarity: clarity of purpose, clarity of roles, clarity of direction. I translate technical complexity into strategic language that enables decision-making at every level.
The measure of a transformation is not what happens when I'm present, but what continues after I leave. I focus on building organizational capabilities — models, frameworks, roles, and mindsets — that endure and compound over time.
My career has been defined by a consistent challenge: organizations that recognize data as important but struggle to treat it as the strategic asset it actually is. Over 10+ years, I have built the systems, led the conversations, and installed the capabilities that bridge that gap.
At Compensar — a highly regulated social security and healthcare organization managing sensitive data for millions of members under strict Colombian regulatory frameworks — I built a progressive career from Information Coordinator to Functional Team Lead to Product Owner – Master Data Management. In that journey I designed and implemented governance models, chaired Tactical and Strategic Data Governance Committees, and led the MDM program that established the Golden Record for more than 17 million customer records across Customer, Membership, Contact, and Reference Data domains.
My work spans the full spectrum of data leadership: from technical architecture and MDM implementation using TIBCO EBX, TIBCO Data Virtualization (TDV), and Azure Cosmos DB, to executive stakeholder alignment, governance KPI monitoring, and cross-functional change management. I have built governance operating models, stewardship accountability structures, and data quality controls that reduce enterprise data risk and enable reliable, trusted information for strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance.
Throughout my career, I have been consistently chosen for the most complex, cross-functional initiatives precisely because I bring what technical experts often lack: the ability to hold the strategic vision while managing the operational detail, to earn trust across hierarchical and functional boundaries, and to maintain clarity of direction under conditions of high ambiguity.
Now, as I step into a global leadership role at Bristol Myers Squibb, I bring this full profile to one of the world's most mission-critical data environments — where the quality and governance of master data directly impacts patient outcomes, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across a worldwide organization.
At BMS, master data and data governance are not operational functions — they are mission-critical infrastructure. The quality, consistency, and integrity of data directly impacts drug development timelines, regulatory submissions, patient safety, and commercial execution across global markets. I am joining BMS to bring the leadership, governance architecture, and cultural change capacity that will make that infrastructure truly excellent.
I welcome conversations about data governance leadership, MDM strategy, digital transformation, and executive opportunities in global organizations. I am based in Barcelona, Spain and available for hybrid and international engagements.
